An Evening with Y-Love!
Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 4:30 p.m.

If you are in D.C. be sure to check out An Evening with our artist, Y-Love @ Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library as part of the Pride Programs at the DC Public Library.

* Y-Love is one of the most dynamic rappers of our time. His talents have been mentioned in such news outlets as XXL Magazine, The New York Times, Out Magazine, and the Jerusalem Post. Hailing from Baltimore City, of Ethiopian and Puerto-Rican descent, and a convert to Orthodox Judaism during the beginning of the 21st century, Y-Love is the first black Orthodox Jewish rapper. He is also the first rapper to come out during the peak of his career.

Y-Love seeks to make music to promote positive social change, and we are happy to feature him to speak during Pride month, and rhyme with us during a special lecture at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Y-Love will discuss his upbringing on the streets of Baltimore, his conversion and life as a Hasidic Jewish man in Brooklyn and Israel, his musical talents, and how having the courage and strength to come out has inspired many people!

We hope you can join us for what will be a very special lecture!
